Along with the writer Alison MacLeod, Bethan has been appointed Writer in Residence at Ditchling Museum of Art + Craft. She’ll be writing a short story in response to their exhibition Eric Gill: the Body.
Bethan will be speaking and giving a workshop at the British Council Literature Seminar, Berlin, from 28th-30th January. The theme is ‘Brit Crime: A New Golden Age of Crime Writing?’
Bethan’s drama series for the Writing the Century strand, ‘The View from the Windows’, will run from Monday November 2nd to Friday November 6th on BBC Radio 4 at 10.45 each morning. Listen here.
Mother Island has won a Jerwood Fiction Uncovered Award, which recognises the best of British fiction.
Mother Island has been longlisted for the Jerwood Fiction Uncovered Prize 2015! The aim of the prize is to celebrate “great British fiction”. The 8 winners will be announced on June 18th.
